EG7.1: Stable and serviceable equipment
Tables, baths, access equipment, enclosures and mounting points must be stable, suitable for the intended load and maintained in safe condition.
Guards, locks and other safety features must work. Equipment using heat or enclosed airflow must have working temperature controls, ventilation and protective cut-outs.
This requirement covers the condition of equipment, not grooming or restraint techniques.
Assessor checklist
Requirement
Tables, baths, access equipment, enclosures, mounting points and other equipment must be stable, suitable for the intended load and free from hazardous defects. Guards, locks and safety features must work. Where equipment incorporates heat or enclosed airflow, its temperature controls, ventilation and protective cut-outs must function. This requirement assesses equipment condition, not grooming or restraint technique.
What the Assessor Checks
Inspect stability, condition and safety functions; review manufacturer information where relevant.
Result:☐ Meets Standard☐ Action Required☐ Critical Non-Compliance☐ Not Applicable
