EG6.1: Practical cleaning schedule
The facility must have and follow a written cleaning schedule covering what is cleaned, how, when and who is responsible.
Dog-contact surfaces and shared reusable equipment must be cleaned between dogs and disinfected where there is a risk of infection spreading.
Floors and shared areas must be cleaned at least daily when used. Bodily waste must be removed promptly.

Disinfectants must be suitable for the surface and the risk being managed. They must be used at the manufacturer’s recommended dilution and contact time.

Soap, clean water and hygienic hand-drying must be readily available. A suitable portable handwashing arrangement is acceptable for mobile grooming.

Pests must be controlled without exposing dogs to traps or poisons.
