At Valegro Kennels we are passionate about the ethical breeding and preservation of the Rough Collie and Chinese Crested Dog. Our breeding programme is guided by a genuine love for these breeds and a strong commitment to preserving their unique qualities for future generations. We breed selectively and only when we are looking to retain something for ourselves, allowing us to carefully plan each litter with purpose and the future of the breed in mind. Our focus is always on producing dogs with excellent temperament, sound health and correct conformation, while remaining true to the breed standards and preserving the qualities that make our breeds so special. All of our breeding dogs are DNA tested for relevant hereditary diseases, and we take great care in selecting combinations that help support the long term health and well being of our dogs. Dogs are very much a family passion. My daughter, Ruby, and I enjoy showing our dogs together in conformation, and we are proud to share the journey of exhibiting, learning, and celebrating our breeds as a team. With many years of experience in the dog industry, I also own and operate a dog daycare, boarding & training business. Over the years, I have taught thousands of puppy classes, and raising confident, well adjusted puppies is something I’m deeply passionate about. Our puppies are raised using the Puppy Culture programme, with a strong focus on early development, socialisation, confidence and preparing each puppy for life with their new family. I believe that the work invested during those early weeks provides an important foundation for a happy and successful future. When you welcome a puppy from us into your family, our support does not end when your puppy leaves our home. We offer lifetime support to all of our puppy families, and many remain in regular contact through our supportive group chat community. It is incredibly rewarding to watch our puppies grow, celebrate their successes, share their journeys, and continue supporting their families throughout their lives. Above all, our dogs welfare and the preservation of our breeds will always come first. We are proud to breed with care, knowledge, integrity and purpose - and to raise puppies that we hope will be cherished family members for generations to come.
